Thank you for this amazing read. I personally also thought that DID was not real in 12std and that childhood abuse cannot be a primary reason for DID. Your mention on feeling dissociation has intrigued me , would like if you could give more insight on it.

Disassociation is described very liberally in the DSM usually. It is something as simple as zoning out (something that happens often while driving) or forgetting how you got to the place you are at. That said, Fuege states do exist. There are people who have no recollection of travelling long distances but to saw that it is a completely different 'personality' that is doing the travelling would be mistaken.
